Bulbs & fittings

Att Pynta catches up with Charlotte Martin, one of the creators behind our range of bulb lighting, to discuss the collection and how to make the most of your space through the use use of light. Charlotte started the artisan brand William and Watson in 2014. Originally from France she moved to London in 2011 to pursue her career in design and lighting. The team behind the brand want to share their love for functional engineering with an industrial aesthetic, while still remaining stylish.

'We always enjoy the stars and the philosophy of illumination and how it is shared among all cultures around the world,' Charlotte explains as she screws a bulb into a light fitting to show us the delicate filaments inside. 'As we are a design firm, it made total sense to start from lighting as it is something that is so vital when creating a beautiful atmosphere in the home.'

We start looking through some of the new LED bulbs. 'These contain over 20,000 hours of life' Charlotte tells us. 'When lit they emit a warm yellow glow perfect to create a cosy feel in a bedroom or dining area. We added to LED collection with the environment in mind, we wanted to develop a range of bulbs which are aesthetically pleasing but also kind to our planet.'  We love the large LED diamond shaped bulbs, they look beautiful when paired together.

'A cluster of 5-6 bulbs hanging straight down in various lengths give a fantastic look to the interior style, spice up the cosy atmosphere with a wall dimmer to control the lighting effect' Charlotte advices. Team your bulb with one of our vintage inspired cables that come in either a ceiling rose set or dimmer plug in.

We are thrilled to now offer a wider range of bulbs and fittings that can really enhance the whole look and feel of a room.
