Home styling with Jesper Laursen

There is nothing we like more than having a snoop around other people’s houses, especially when it is as pretty as this one.

We love all things Scandi, so stumbling across interior stylist Jesper Laursen of 'Scandinavian Homes' on Instagram was serendipitous. His style is typically Swedish; creating contemporary, clean spaces with memorable details. In this flat he has added lots of textiles and candles for warmth and texture, with plants and ornaments creating a stylish finish.

It is hard to resist this home’s autumnal feel, created by the dark colour pallet on the walls and the layered textiles. With the season well and truly upon us, now is the time to create your own cosy retreat from the cold. For a quick and easy Scandi Autumnal update, simply add a sheepskin rug to your floor, some extra throws to your sofa and light a few candles. Believe us, it’ll create the perfect ‘Hygge’ (Danish for cosy) look.

The dark walls in the bedroom instantly make the room feel cosy. Here Jesper has left the bottom and top of walls light grey which creates a lovely contrast. Layer throws and cushions for an instant cosy update.
