Att home with Sophie Bailey

We recently took a tour around around this gorgeous East London town house and absolutely loved everything about this eclectic space.

As you enter the home, set just moments from the picturesque Columbia Road, you are met by a welcoming open plan space with pops of colour and gorgeous artwork adorning the walls. The property is home to a creative family who use the space for work, relaxing and entertaining when in London.

The family have used rustic textures to add charm and character to the space, from the natural wooden table to the vintage metal lamp, it all ties together in a beautiful diverse mix. In the centre of the room we spot one of our Blanca sofas in dusty pink velvet, ready for sinking into after a long day. The tactile pale pink sofa is beautifully contrasted against the black painted floor boards, allowing the sofa to take centre stage. The living area is full of gorgeous artefacts, many of which have been made by different members of the family, injecting a unique personality to the home. In particular we love the handmade ceramics seen on shelves and tables throughout the property, the soft curves and shapes makes you want to pick them up and admire their charm.

The living space opens up to the kitchen which sits at the back of the house. The kitchen / dining space has a wonderful skylight flooding the room with light. We love the natural dusty pink plaster wall teamed with the beautiful emerald green floor tiles, one of our personal favourite colour combinations!

The bedrooms have been kept clean and minimal, showing off the large bay windows that pours the rooms with light. The views of the quaint street and local park outside adds a tranquil atmosphere to the space. The floors have been stripped back to reveal the natural oak flooring looking crisp and fresh against the bright white walls

The bathroom is a space with a real wow-factor, the silver freestanding bath sits in the middle of the room with a large open shower on the back wall. This is truly a glorious room anyone would be happy spending time in.

Throughout the home we notice the use of rustic wooden pieces creating gorgeous contrasts with the white walls and adding warmth and character to the home.

The flow of the property and the carefully curated artefacts and furniture make this a home a true gem, there is nothing here not to love. Only question now is...when can we move in?
