Install insights: Curve poles and scallop Roman blinds

Adding curves and linen layers to a guest room in South East London.

Our client wanted wanted to add soft shapes and linen layers to this guest room. With a combination of styles the privacy and light levels can be adjusted depending on how the room is being used.

The Scalloped roman blinds soften the windows with gentle curves that break up harder lines while still allowing light control and privacy. Cafe curtains provide privacy at eye level during the day without blocking natural light, keeping the room feeling open. Full-length curtains add another layer in the evening, creating a more private and comfortable atmosphere while also helping with insulation and acoustics. Together, these layers allow the room to adapt throughout the day while adding softness and depth.

A black pole with curved brackets adds subtle softness and contrast and keeps the look clean by reducing bulk at the sides when the curtains are open. These poles are great for London homes to reduce the fabric stack back and maximise on the light.

Overall, the space feels warm, flexible, and inviting, with the window treatments playing a key role in both function and atmosphere.
