The client wanted us to add three double panels of sheer off white linen curtain , running wall to wall to softly frame the patio doors while maintaining privacy. The lightweight fabric filters rather than blocks the light, allowing a gentle, diffused glow to move through the open plan space. The curtains are hung on discreet white tracks keeping the look clean and unobtrusive. Extending from ceiling to floor, they draw the eye upward, giving the room a more elevated feel and making spaces with lower ceilings appear taller and more open
The curtains help soften the architecture of the room, balancing larger elements like glazing and furniture with a more relaxed, layered feel. Their full width placement creates a sense of continuity across the wall, making the space feel more cohesive and considered.
They also bring a quiet sense of calm, reducing harsh daylight and adding a subtle texture that shifts throughout the day. In the evening, they enhance the atmosphere further by catching and diffusing interior lighting, giving the room a softer, more ambient feel.
